Certificate Sessions
Attend a centralised certificate session in your area. Bridgend and Cardiff now require annual taximeter compliance certificates.
It is becoming increasingly difficult to access multiple locations in Cardiff due to traffic congestion across the city, therefore from
BRIDGEND - next certificate session
This will be at
Followed by the 31st August 2026
CARDIFF - next certificate session
This will be at
Followed by the 31st August 2026
How this works
Bridgend certificates are only valid for one calendar month (not 4 or 5 weeks), Cardiff certificates are valid for one year.
You should get in touch with your preferred, authorised installer to prepare this document BEFORE you apply online by selecting a suitable date before your application is required.
DHM have been producing certificates for Cardiff for over 15 years, we know how difficult it can be to obtain these documents as your vehicle has to be physically checked by an authorised installer at a convenient time. Unfortunately we can't attend every one of you individually, therefore every three weeks DHM will attend the same central location for a period of 2 hours, this will allow operators to attend at their convenience around their existing bookings.
The Bridgend location will be near Toyota/Bookers on the Trews Field Industrial Estate near Toyota in Wildmill. The Cardiff location on the Taff Embankment, look for our large blue flag and use the google links above!
You will be able to have basic repairs or installations carried out during these sessions but it is strongly recommended you book these in prior as certificates will take priority.
What Happens if i cant attend
It is your responsibilty to co-ordinate your licensing application dates and attend a session that works for you, if you cannot attend a session then simply attend the next and delay your annual renewal by a few days or send the vehicle with an alternative driver if you cant bring it yourself.
Sessions are approximately three weeks apart so you should be able to find a date that meets your needs and your renewal date.
However if you are still unable to attend a session then you can by appointment arrange to meet with DHM individually but this is not recommended unless it is an emergency. As a mobile service our location varies and we may not be available at all times.
Emergency appointments can be made however these may incur higher costs due to the distances and times involved, please do try to attend a scheduled session.
You can also contact an alternative installer, an up to date list of which is available on your councils website.
